Have you ever experienced a dream that felt so vivid and real that you couldn’t shake the feeling it was more than just a dream? Perhaps it was a “God dream.” Or maybe you’ve had a mental image during prayer, ministry, while listening to a message, during a time of worship, or in a conversation that seemed too significant to be just your imagination—a God-given vision? Yes, God uses dreams and visions to speak to us! It’s a significant part of the Holy Spirit’s ministry, and He wants us to become more aware of it!

I recently heard it said that since the Bible was completed, God no longer uses dreams and visions to speak to us; He only uses what was written in Scripture. Wait, what? God isn’t speaking anymore? That’s news to me! In John 16, Jesus stated that He still had many things to say. He then said that when the Holy Spirit comes, He would guide us into all truth, reveal things to come, and tell us everything the Father and the Son want us to know. I mean, you won’t find the answer to who you’re supposed to marry in the Bible, right? We need to hear God for guidance in our everyday lives.

I’m in total agreement with something I once heard Jack Taylor say, “I hold the Bible in the highest regard—higher than anyone I know! If you have a higher opinion of it, then I’ll take yours!” But you can bet your boots that He’s still talking! He speaks to us through the Holy Spirit in various ways that never contradict His written Word. God’s still speaking! And He ain’t out of the dreams and visions business—they’re still on the table, folks!

In the book of Acts, chapter 2, Peter, quoting the prophet Joel, said, “In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams.” He was referring to the day of Pentecost they were experiencing then and to the ongoing times that continue into the present day. Dreams and visions are still ways that God speaks to us, and they are available to all of His children, not just a chosen few. I would encourage you to lean in, be more aware and sensitive in these areas of your life. He’s always speaking.

For the majority of my Christian life I have been prone to experiencing dreams and visions in the Lord. When I was younger, I had frequent visions, usually during times of corporate prayer or ministry. As I have gotten older, I seem to have more significant God dreams than visions, but hey, I’m at an age where they both compete for my attention, you know what I mean, right?

In the last few days of 2024, the Lord gave me three dreams over three consecutive nights. These three dreams, I believe, are directly related to what God is saying about 2025 and beyond. Kingdom dreams & visions are such powerful tools, and I’m super excited to share these dreams and their meanings with you over the next few weeks! So buckle up; we’re in for the ride of our lives! This is the great adventure!
